Terms of Service
Last updated: April 21, 2026
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using Kerevo ("the Service"), you enter into a binding agreement with Kerevo Inc. ("Kerevo," "we," "us"), a corporation based in West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and us.
2. Eligibility and Account Creation
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account on your own behalf. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must create the account for you and remain the financially responsible party. Children under 13 may only access the Service through a parent-managed account with verified parental consent. Students aged 13–17 may create their own learning account but must provide truthful age information and agree to parental notification if requested by our onboarding flow. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at security@kerevo.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Subscription, Billing and Renewal
Kerevo is offered as a paid subscription unless explicitly marked otherwise. Current plans are the 7-Day Course (one-time $399 CAD), the Family Platform ($6.99 CAD/month with the first month free and up to three children per account), and the School License (from $3.99 CAD per student per month, minimum 100 students, with volume discounts at 300+ and 500+ students). Prices exclude applicable taxes. All subscriptions renew automatically at the end of the billing cycle you selected until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by Canadian law. We may change pricing with at least 30 days' email notice; if you do not accept the new price you may cancel before the change takes effect.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable Canadian, provincial, or local law; (b) attempt to reverse engineer, copy, scrape, or otherwise extract our source code, curriculum, or proprietary data; (c) share a paid account with users outside your immediate family or contracted school; (d) impersonate another person or provide false information; (e) harass, bully, or post hateful content; (f) interfere with the Service's security or availability; (g) transmit malware, send spam, or engage in automated activity beyond reasonable human usage. We may suspend or terminate access for any violation without refund of prepaid fees.
5. Educational Content — Not Financial Advice
Kerevo is an educational financial literacy simulator. Nothing on the Service constitutes personalized financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, or legal advice. Paper trading uses simulated prices for educational purposes; simulated returns do not represent real investment outcomes and past simulated performance does not predict future results. Always consult a qualified, licensed Canadian financial advisor, accountant, or legal professional before making real financial decisions. Tax content references the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) but is simplified for teaching purposes and may not reflect the latest regulations.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the Service — including lessons, curriculum, software, trademarks, logos, and branding — is the exclusive property of Kerevo Inc. or its licensors and is protected by Canadian and international copyright and trademark law. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the Service for personal or school-licensed educational purposes only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without prior written permission. Stock ticker and market data are provided by Finnhub and licensed under their terms.
7. Student Data and School Contracts
For Canadian school contracts, we comply with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (Ontario, MFIPPA), the Personal Information Protection Act (British Columbia, PIPA), Quebec's Law 25, and the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). We will never sell student data. Student personal information is processed only to deliver the Service and generate the reports teachers and administrators configure. Schools remain the custodian of record for their students' data and may at any time request access, correction, portability, or deletion by writing to privacy@kerevo.com. A Data Processing Agreement suitable for Canadian school boards is available on request.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Canadian law, Kerevo Inc., its directors, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages — including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, or investment losses — arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (i) the total fees paid by you to Kerevo in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (ii) one hundred Canadian dollars ($100 CAD). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including for gross negligence, fraud, or wilful misconduct.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted or error-free operation, or the accuracy of any simulated data. Stock prices shown on the Service are pulled from third-party market data providers and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate; they are for educational simulation only and should not be relied upon for real trading decisions.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion we will remove your personal data within 90 days, except where retention is required by Canadian tax, accounting, or other law (e.g. billing records retained for seven years as required by the Income Tax Act). We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or conduct we reasonably believe is harmful to the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability, Disclaimers, Governing Law) will survive.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You and Kerevo Inc. agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Vancouver, British Columbia for any dispute not subject to binding arbitration. Prior to commencing litigation, the parties shall attempt good-faith resolution through written notice and a 30-day negotiation period.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. For material changes (including changes to pricing, billing, or data handling) we will provide at least 30 days' prior notice by email to the address on file and by posting the revised Terms on this page. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not accept the changes, you must stop using the Service before the effective date.
